Tell Me a Bit About Yourself
By: Hannah

It seems odd to me that there is literally nobody in this world who has or will ever have exactly the same experiences as you. I find that not only exhilarating, but incredible. No one is like you. Which at times, can seem like the glummest must poopy thing ever, take it from me, all I wanted when I was thirteen was to be ‘normal’ and not be called ‘weird’. Flash forward three years, I love being what you say….’weird’.
I think it is important to find out who you are. I love how in Eat Pray Love, Julia Roberts went on a journey to find her soul, eat good food and find love, correct me if I’m wrong (I’m like 76% sure that’s what she did ha!) But do a Julia Roberts and do some soul searching…it may surprise you how much it will help you.
Every now and again, I write down what makes me, me…who I am, what I like, what sort of personality I have, my hobbies, description on myself in 60 words etc, fun facts about myself and my family. I know it might seem a bit odd, but there is nothing more frightening in my opinion to be asked ‘’Tell me a little about yourself,’’ and you literally not being able to say anything intelligent and wonderful about yourself, do yourself a bit of justice and cut yourself some slack, find out who you are so others can appreciate your cool air and fruity outlook on life.
Do you have lots of friends? Do you like being by yourself? What would you typically do on a Saturday night alone? You can literally write a novel about yourself…really try and get to know yourself because you are inhabiting in your body every moment of every day your heart is pulsating in your chest. You hear all the time people saying, ”I don’t know who I am or who I am am doing with my life.” I think you can some what eradicate this feeling from your stomach by…what else? Knowing who you are.
Get to know yourself regularly because over time your tastes and preferences change, I for one woke up a few days ago and just randomly out of the blue stopped liking Pizza Hut which I never thought would be the reality for me, ever!
Isn’t it funny how you can talk to someone for hours and know for someone for years, and still not really know them?  I try to make it a personal goal to let people know who I really am when I talk to them; I want people to know who I really am rather than a mere image I portray of myself. I know you can’t be chummy with everyone in the world but you can show everyone you talk to a glimpse of who you are…not everyone is going to like you, but that’s all right because you’re not going to like everyone either, sometimes people just clash.
Really study yourself, if there is one thing in this world you are capable of knowing everything about, it’s yourself.
